🌿 EVERGLADES & MIAMI – TWO WORLDS, ONE ADVENTURE
Only about an hour separates Miami’s electric pulse from the quiet heart of Florida — the Everglades.
Two worlds that couldn’t be more different, yet fit together perfectly.
City energy on one side, untouched nature on the other.
Experience both, and you begin to understand what Florida truly is.
🌴 MIAMI — A CITY THAT BREATHES IN MOTION
Miami never sleeps.
It moves, glows, and vibrates — all at once.
Between Art Deco façades, palm-lined streets and endless ocean, the city hums with an energy you won’t find anywhere else.
Caribbean flair meets skyline, sunshine meets speed, calm meets chaos.
Every day feels like summer. Every corner tells a new story.
To understand Miami, you have to live it.
The best way? A guided city experience in small groups — with pick-up included and real local insight.
🐊 EVERGLADES — THE WILD HEART OF FLORIDA
Just one hour west of Miami, a different world begins.
A river of grass stretching to the horizon, full of light, water and life.
Here you feel Florida as it once was — raw, quiet, and powerful.
Alligators glide through the water.
Eagles circle above the sawgrass.
Nature takes over the soundtrack.
The Everglades aren’t a swamp — they’re a slow-moving river nearly 100 kilometers wide.
They’ve survived drainage, climate change, and urban expansion for more than a century.
Standing here, you feel how fragile and precious nature truly is.
Our 60-minute airboat ride takes you right into the heart of it.
Up to 49 mph (79 km/h) — wind, water and wilderness blending together.
No scripts, no staged routine.
Our captains live the Everglades.
You ask questions, they tell stories.
Authentic. Close. Unforgettable.
📸 Nature you can feel
Alligators, turtles, exotic birds and snakes — all in their natural habitat.
And yes, you’ll take photos you’ll never forget.
If you want, you can even hold a baby alligator — respectfully, safely, and responsibly.
🏙️ SKYLINE & STORIES
Miami has more than 300 skyscrapers, making it the third-largest skyline in the US — in a city of only about 600,000 residents.
How does that work?
Miami is a crossroads of money, culture, and migration like nowhere else.
In just 90 years, the “Gold Coast” has become one of America’s most populated and diverse regions.
Seven million visitors a year bring art, business, adventure — and take something of Miami with them.
⚡ DOUBLE VALUE. DOUBLE ACTION.
Since 2017, Banana Joe Tours has offered more than any other Miami tour company:
• Real 60-minute airboat rides (not 25 minutes)
• Fastest boats in Miami — up to 79 km/h
• Everglades experts, not prerecorded voices
You’ll understand why this landscape became world famous as the “River of Grass” —
and how it continues to survive against all odds.
🎨 NEIGHBORHOODS WITH SOUL
Wynwood — bold, raw, covered in street art.
Brickell — modern, global, the core of the new skyline.
Coconut Grove — tropical, historic, almost village-like.
Each neighborhood has its own rhythm, its own heartbeat.
Miami isn’t just seen — it’s felt.
🌱 PRESERVATION, NOT FORGETTING
The Everglades are both a symbol and a warning.
From 19th-century drainage to today’s restoration efforts —
every story here is about the push and pull between humans and nature.
Our guides show you how this ecosystem survives — and how you can help protect it.
🕰️ THE FIRST PEOPLE
Long before the skyscrapers, the Tequesta lived here — more than 2,700 years ago.
Their traces remain visible at the Miami Circle, right on Biscayne Bay.
A quiet reminder of how deep Miami’s roots truly go.
🏕️ FROM PICK-UP TO RETURN
Even during the drive to the park, you’ll learn about wildlife, climate and local history.
By the time you arrive, you’ll already feel like a half-Everglades expert.
After the airboat ride and wildlife show, the gift shop offers handmade souvenirs.
Then your ride back — full of impressions, wind in your hair, and a new way of seeing Florida.
🏖️ CLASSICS OF THE COAST
South Beach. Lincoln Road. Española Way. Lummus Park.
These aren’t attractions — they’re icons.
Art Deco hotels, vintage cars, music in the air, salt on your skin.
And at South Pointe Park, the turquoise ocean meets the Miami sun — a view that stays with you.
🚤 WATER, SPEED, ADRENALINE
To really see Miami, you have to hit the water.
Speedboats along Biscayne Bay, past Fisher Island and the world’s largest cruise port.
Or a relaxed boat tour along Millionaire’s Row — homes of celebrities, movie scenes, legends.
Scarface filming locations.
Star mansions.
Stories born overnight that become Miami myths.
🍸 LIFE, FOOD, RHYTHM
From Latin street food to rooftop bars with skyline views —
Miami tastes like culture, music and joy.
Cuban coffee, Caribbean beats, late-night laughter.
The best spots?
Often the ones not on tourist maps.
🧭 CONCLUSION
This combination of Miami exploration and Everglades adventure is more than sightseeing.
It’s a journey through two worlds — city and wilderness, culture and nature, light and life.
Experience history, architecture, wildlife and real Florida —
guided by Banana Joe Tours, the German-speaking experts for Miami, Key West and the Everglades.
No script. No filter.
Just the real Florida.
Welcome to the Magic City — and to the wild heart of the Everglades.

HIGHLIGHTS ON THE WAY TO THE EVERGLADES
From the turquoise Atlantic, the journey heads west — leaving the city behind and entering the real Florida.
The skyline slowly fades in the rearview mirror as palm trees give way to wide-open landscapes.
You pass tropical vegetation, wetlands, and farmland — where water often stands higher than the land.
The farther you go, the quieter it becomes — roads turn into levees, asphalt turns into nature.
Then the view opens up to endless sawgrass fields — the legendary “River of Grass.”
From here on, it’s pure wilderness: welcome to the Everglades.

🕐 PICK-UP TIME & FLEXIBILITY
Please let your ship’s staff know one to two days before arrival
that you booked with an independent operator (Banana Joe Tours)
and that you’d like to be in the first group allowed to disembark —
this always works.
Our pick-up is scheduled for around 8:00 AM.
As soon as you are ashore, simply walk off the ship and look for our guide holding a Banana Joe sign.
You can also look toward the street —
you’ll easily recognize our well-known Banana Joe vans or buses with the logo.
Whether a guide is standing directly at the terminal depends on the day,
but just look for the sign or our vehicles and you’ll find us quickly.
📧 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COMMUNICATION & PICK-UP
The exact pick-up time will be sent by email one day before your tour.
This is necessary because we first gather all bookings, plan the most efficient routes and pick-up points, and adjust for Miami’s daily traffic, events, and road conditions.
Our booking system operates automatically,
and all information about your tour, pick-up, and any updates is sent exclusively by email.
Please make sure to read your emails carefully to avoid any misunderstandings or delays.
If something urgent comes up or last-minute changes occur, we will contact you by phone — usually via WhatsApp for international numbers.
🌴 This ensures you stay fully informed and your Miami experience with Banana Joe starts smoothly and stress-free!
🛳️ PICK-UP FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS
For cruise guests, pick-up is our highest priority —
we always start at the port first to ensure a smooth and stress-free beginning to your tour.
🌴 MIAMI TIME — WHY THINGS MAY TAKE A LITTLE LONGER 🌴
Even when we pick up our first group in Miami right on time,
small delays can happen along the way — simply part of life in a vibrant city like Miami.
🚗 Real everyday examples:
• A guest can’t find the correct hotel lobby (Miami loves having three entrances with palm trees).
• Someone is waiting at the wrong “tower” — and if you know Miami, you know there are many.
• Traffic on the MacArthur Causeway suddenly turns into a tropical rush hour.
We always do our best to pick up every guest safely and smoothly —
but in a city full of sunshine, music and life, not everything runs by the clock.
Sometimes, things simply run on Miami Time.
So stay relaxed, enjoy the sun —
we’re definitely coming for you! 🌞
⚠️ Important Notice for Guests Traveling on German-Speaking Cruise Lines
⚠️ Important Notice for Guests from German-Speaking Cruise Lines
When several cruise ships — such as AIDA or Mein Schiff (TUI Cruises) — are docked at the port at the same time,
your tour may be operated in larger, comfortable vehicles instead of small vans.
This is due solely to port logistics:
Cruise lines release several hundred guests at once, and disembarkation zones and security areas can change at any moment.
Under these conditions, it would be impossible to form small groups individually right at the terminal.
Your experience with Banana Joe Tours remains personal and high-quality.
You still enjoy an authentic, German-speaking tour with real local guides —
not the rigid, scripted format of ship-run excursions.
You’ll see more highlights in less time, enjoy more flexibility, ask questions freely,
and experience Miami & the Everglades as a genuine local tour, not a mass event.
This is Miami the way it truly is — vibrant, real, and unforgettable.
🌍 Notice for International Cruise Guests
When there are a large number of bookings from the same cruise ship,
we may operate the tour with larger, comfortable vehicles instead of small vans.
This ensures that all guests can be picked up efficiently and start the tour on time.
Even with larger vehicles, the experience remains personal,
with plenty of time for photos, questions, and individual interactions with our local guides.
🍌 Food & Drink Information
You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks on the tour.
We do our best to include a short break along the way,
but we cannot guarantee that food or drink options will always be available,
as this depends on traffic and the overall tour schedule.
Tip:
We recommend bringing a bottle of water and a small snack
so you’re comfortable and prepared at all times.
